North Carolina group Kooley High, made up of three emcees, Charlie Smarts, Tab-One, and Rapsody, two producers, Foolery and The Sinopsis, and the deejay, DJ Ill Digitz, have been able to capture the essence of alot of what is still good in hip hop today. Dope beats, wordplay, and several elements that made hip hop fun during it's golden age are represented very well by this crew. I've had the pleasure of seeing them perform and they do not disappoint.
Be sure to keep your ears open for this collective, they are a breath of fresh air and are slowly proving that there is more to hip hop coming from the south than what people tend to think.
