2012 - Full Trailer

Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow) presents the latest of his string of disaster / end of the world themed movies with "2012". With stellar actors Danny Glover, Thandie Newton and Chiwetel Ejiofor playing major rolls, I'm curious to see how the eminent 2012 apocalypse that has been predicted for centuries will be handled. I do know that with a $200 million dollar budget, this looks to be a CGI lover's wet dream judging by the trailer. While I don't expect to be wowed by any deep theories or profound statements about society, I do plan on seeing this and taking it for what it is...a decent looking special FX extravaganza only a big screen showing can do justice..after all, this is what guys really want to see at the movies anyway, right?

    I have a strange fascination with apocalyptic-themed movies.

    Interestingly enough, I have a fascination with those kinds of movies too. I think I've seen them all thus far ;)

    Lovely.

    28 Days Later scared the crap out of me. I enjoyed I Am Legend, too. (Though most people didn't...)
